FELIZ DIA DE LA MADRE MAMACITA!!!!!!

It was great talking to you guys yesterday. its reminded how much I really love my family and how weird and how a part of me you guys are ha-ha and Raquel and Daniel eating in front of the camera didn't help my super strong food cravings...

Well I don't know if I've said this before but I loooove being a missionary! one of the best feelings is when you see the light bulb go off and see that they understand.

This week we were teaching one of our investigators Vicentina the plan of salvation and this chick has gone to so many churches in her life and she really has big desires to find the truth and we were teaching the plan of salvation and when I shared a scripture in the bible about the preexistence when she read it she got so excited and now believes in the preexistence, just that moment made my whole day. and yesterday she came to church with her 3 little kids! she is great it just doesn't help that the Jehovah witness are confusing her! but we will win!!

So there's a focus in the mission to contact families whenever we see one in the street and sometimes its super awkward   and hard like sometimes the mom listens to us and her husband keeps walking or the other way around or they flat out reject us and we offer them a card and even the little kids wont take it  its like oh its fine I just have the key to your salvation and eternal happiness... but reading the book of Mormon and about the prophets especially in Ether,  rejection has always been a part of the work of salvation. There will be always be opposition to the Truth. but I really am blessed cause at least I don't have to live in a cave like the prophet
Ether...even though sometimes the house feels as cold as a cave...

But its gotten so much better now since we stole a room heater from the Elders in the office. Its now probably my favorite possession we have in the house.
have a good ol ´murican week! Love youuuuu!!!!

good bless the usa

salchipapas!!!

Bueno...this week has been..interesting. a bit rough but great because I'm  here and I'm a missionary and I love it!!

We had our multi zone conference with prez, which obviously was great. I played the piano but I had to fight with the hymn book cause it didn't want to stay open...so there miiiight have been a couple of mess ups but ya normallll.

Then at the end of the conference president wanted everyone to give their testimony...2 hours later of hearing every type of testimony and some very interesting stories....I've decided we are all on very different roads to becoming true disciples of Christ and this church must be true if we (young and super immature who know nothing about life) are preaching and giving people the chance for something as big as Salvation...I stand all amazed. The church is TRUEEEEE.

This week I did work visits in chasky( a sector in cusco) with an Hermana from Honduras and it was great I love learning from and getting to know these sisters they are so different and have amazing stories of their conversions and their lives. I'm a lucky gal.  guess what we had for lunch? salchipapa! french fries and fried hot dogs(and when I say hot dogs I'm talking about pink long cylinders that seem to have the appearance of meat) drenched in oil...I think my liver has had it tough haha.

The pensionista in chasky se llama mama Jessie and is also the pensionita of the elders in the office, so she knows the scoop on ALL the mission, and she spoils the missionaries sooo much and she calls us her hijas and hijos. so I became an official hija of mama Jessie this week and now one of her fishes name is hija Rasmussen! haha
so my ward.. The ward of San Jeronimo is one of the biggest wards and probably the strongest ward in the mission....but as president told me I would find a lot of pride in this ward... he was right.

          BIG SAN JERONIMO WARD

I've never had troubles with wards or leaders but now I am learning that my Heavenly Father is testing my humility and my patience. attributes of Christ. I love Jesus so much and am so grateful that I have a PERFECT example in all things that I can follow. Yes I'm weak but Jesus faced weakness also and over came it all and I can overcome my weaknesses by his grace through my faith in him and his atonement.

I love this gospel, I can't say it enough! it truly TRULY helps us be happy. if we are looking for happiness we aint going to find it anywhere else but the gospel of Jesus Christ.

I love you all oh so very very much:)
